Most types of negative information generally remain on your Equifax credit report for 6 years. Closed accounts that were paid as agreed remain on your Equifax credit report for up to 10 years after they were reported as “closed” by the lender. Hard inquiries may remain on your Equifax credit report for 3 years.
What is order and credit hold?
Placing a customer on credit hold prevents you from making shipments to that customer, but it does not place individual orders on credit hold. To place individual orders on credit hold, use the Sales Orders form. To place a customer on credit hold, use the Customers form.
What is the credit hold?
When a customer is consistently late in making payments, has exceeded their credit limit, or is identified as a bad risk, you can prevent additional credit purchases by placing their account on credit hold.
When to put an order on credit management hold?
Enter the Days credit limit expired for the selected blocking rule before an order is placed on credit management hold. The number of days overdue represents additional grace days that are added to the number of days that the credit limit has been expired.
How to select credit holds for sales orders?
Select a Group if the rule applies to a customer credit group. Select All if the rule applies to all customers.
What happens when credit is placed on hold?
If the value of an order increases the amount of the credit limit used above the percentage, then the order will be placed on hold. You can force the credit control rules to be executed when payment terms are changed. You must rank the payment terms and assign them a ranking value.
What happens when an order is placed on hold?
When the system places an order on hold, the order is taken out of the processing cycle. When you release an order, you return it to the order processing cycle. Set up order hold information, including user passwords. See Setting Up Order Hold Information.
